JABAL AL AKDHAR NATURE TRAIL

(3 days / 2 nights)

Day 1: Muscat – Jabal Al Akdhar

We start the tour to Jabal Al Akdhar from Muscat at 9.00 am and arrive in Jabal Al Akdhar.

Start our visit to Dainah Point, walk from Dainah Point to Al Shreigah (approximately 1.30 hours)

BBQ set up lunch will be served at Jabal Al Akdhar, and evening leisure at the hotel. Dinner & overnight at a hotel in Jabal AL Akdhar.

Jabal Al Akdhar

Jabal Al Akdhar rises to a height of 2,980 meters and is famous for its wide plateau close to the summit. The journey from Muscat to Al Jabal Al Akhdar takes about two hours and can only be undertaken by four-wheel drive.

Al Jabal Al Akhdar is known for its Mediterranean climate. Temperatures drop during winter to below zero Celsius, with snow falling at times, and rise in summer to 22 degrees Celsius. Due to its location and unique climate, the Green Mountain produces a variety of fruits, including apricots, plums, figs, grapes, apples, and pears, as well as almonds, walnuts, and saffron.

The pomegranate that grows here is classified among the finest of its kind in the world. The roses of Jabal Al Akhdar fill the air with fragrance when in full bloom (March/April), and Rosewater is distilled in the homes of the villagers.

Day 2: Jabal Al Akdhar–Wadi Bani Habib - Jabal Al Akdhar

After breakfast, proceed to Wadi Bani Habib for a visit to the old houses around Wadi Bani Habib. Thereafter, proceed to Hale Al Mesabb, where you will experience the real traditional life of Oman. Lunch will be served in traditional style by a local Omani Family. After lunch, we will proceed to experience the distillery process of Rose Water. Overnight stay at a Jabal Akdhar Hotel.

Day 3: Jabal Akdhar – Muscat

After breakfast, proceed to Muscat and be dropped off at Muscat International Airport.
